Speaking Engagements

Speaking Engagement with Wendy Bell

speak to STUDENTS — middle schoolers through college — about individuality, social media responsibility, bullying and being confident and comfortable in their own skin. I share with CIVIC ORGANIZATIONS and nonprofits personal stories of volunteering and the impact lifting up people in need has on a community… and on one’s self. And I speak with RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATIONS about how my faith in God saved me from a devastating professional blow that cost me my job but gave me a gift I never expected.

Wendy Bell Speaking Engagement BENEFITS
People know me. They invited me into their living rooms every night for nearly two decades, trusting the news I told them. They know I am honest and compassionate. And they know my stories come from the heart.

I’ve told other peoples’ stories as a broadcast journalist and blogger from more than half my life. I don’t just listen to people… I feel them. I’ve personally watched strangers turn tragedy into triumph and I take great joy in sharing their success with others.

The motivation I provide comes from my experience as a 21-time Emmy Award winning television news anchor and as a mother of five sons. I’ve navigated both the ladder of professional success during my 24 years on local and national TV and the baby steps of raising thoughtful, passionate and productive young men. Many of the inspirational messages I share come from the very stories I’ve told on TV. But my most passionate tales unfold in my house where I teach my boys through example that we each have the power to make a difference.

"I am proud to recommend Wendy as a speaker to any organization seeking a vibrant, talented, charming and intelligent representative. My organization, LiveLikeLou.org, was privileged to have Wendy’s support as a reporter for our cause, an event emcee and as a speaker. Wendy surprised me (she knows this) because I had a bias against “reporters” when we first met. But at our first conversation and on every single occasion since she brought compassion, credibility and excellence to our organization. We are lucky to have her on our side!"

"A few years ago, I had the pleasure of attending a luncheon where Wendy was speaking. After getting over being starstruck, I was amazed by her humor, and how she brought her personal life/experiences into her message. She also made everyone in the room feel like she was their best friend! There is no one that I would recommend more to highly motivate your group."
